AIIC Announces: Professional Certifications for Permanent Cosmetics

The American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics (AIIC) recently announced plans to launch continuing education and foundation courses for the permanent makeup industry’s most stringent certification processes to date! The AIIC “Professional & Expert Series” Certifications will enable permanent makeup professionals to target specific procedures and distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in a particular area of specialization.

“AIIC aims to raise the standards for education in permanent cosmetics! Legislative Bodies, Health Departments, and the public in general want education and certifications that will identify technicians who are eligible to be recognized as true professionals and experts in the permanent cosmetic industry,” announced Sandi Hammons, AIIC’s Director of Education, “And AIIC’s Professional and Expert Series Certifications will give permanent cosmetic technicians, aestheticians, and physicians the education, expertise and experience necessary to separate those technicians who qualify for professional or expert status.” Hammons is encouraging all technicians (including beginners and advanced) to participate in the new expanded educational process. “The practical expertise that is gained through AIIC’s new stringent certification processes will provide individuals with the kind of know-how that gets recognized—on the job, among peers, and by potential employers!”

AIIC will initiate its first steps toward establishing Professional & Expert Designations during IICE 2007.
