Practice Safety With Microblading

Posted on

Safety is a topic that many people forget about for beauty procedures, especially for permanent makeup ones. While safety is severely focused on for normal tattoo processes, it can be skimmed over for beauty procedures such as microblading. One of the topics we’ll go back to again and again is safety when it comes to working on your clients. At our world’s leading permanent makeup supplies and education company, we pride ourselves on preaching about safety. If you have any questions about our microblading, don’t hesitate to contact us. For beauty technicians we also offer microblading kits.

Safety Tips To Follow With Microblading

In today’s blog, we’ll be covering safety when it comes to microblading. Easily skipped over since it’s regularly forgotten because it is considered to be a semi-permanent procedure, we want to take the time to go over safety tips with you. Whether you’re a new technician or one who has been practicing for years, you obviously know to be safe when you work on anyone. If that means you’re doing a normal permanent makeup procedure or you’re using a microblading kit to really even out your client’s brows, you know that safety is everything. If you’re not safe, you can seriously damage not only a person, but your reputation as a go-to source of microblading and other permanent makeup procedures. Here are some important factors to consider when microblading your clients.

The Environment Should be Immaculate

The environment in which you work is so important. Not only do you want to make sure that your environment is not dirty or dangerous, but you’ll also want to make sure that it’s safe. Leaky pipes, infestations, and a lack of running water are all situations you should immediately take care of in your facility. A clean environment to complete your procedures, such as microblading, will ensure that your clients avoid infections and other harmful situations.

Ensure The Tools Are Clean

You probably are already aware of this, but ensuring that your tools are clear is imperative. Clean tools will make for happy clients. We have microblading kits that will ensure you properly sterilize the equipment. It’s important to reduce the risk of cross-contamination between each of your clients. You don’t want to use the same needles or blades because you are in close contact with your clients’ blood, bodily fluids, and skin. Additionally, you’ll want to make sure to protect yourself by wearing proper sterilized gear such as face masks and gloves.

Inform Your Client Of Post-Care

After the procedure has been completed, you’ll want to inform your client of all post-care they’ll need to know to stay safe. For example, tell your client that going swimming, tanning, sweating excessively, and going in a sauna are all activities to be avoided. Additionally, you’ll want to avoid scratching the area and touching it to avoid infection. Post-care safety tips can be some of the most important because if the eyebrows are not taken care of, then it can remove the pigment or scar the area.
